Made the big mistake of bothering to get up early on Sunday morning to watch the race from Australia. I have always enjoyed Formula 1 right back from the Senna/ Mansell/ Prost/ Piquet days.
James Hunt, Niki Lauda, Sigh!!!
Those were the days!
Why did I bother? What a rubbish race, and what hopeless commentary and crap BBC coverage.
Naff - that's what I would describe it as.
For a start, what has happened to the Fleetwood Mac music? It has been horribly re-mixed and sounds flat, dead and has had all emotion and excitement removed from it.
That makes sense!
Then there was the race. The champions were all at the back!
Last season's hopeless numpties were all at the front!
That makes sense!
Apparently the numpties all have a secret gismo attached their racing cars that nobody else is allowed to have or see!
That makes sense!
New, complicated rules that nobody understands!
That makes sense!
A totally lacklustre race. Sexy Mark Webber (driving in front of his home crowd) got illegally knocked (as usual) during the first lap by a latino driver who got away with it scott-free (as usual) and no-one batted a bloody eyelid! (as usual) That makes sense!
The race finished, like a damp sqib, with all the cars cruising slowly in line behind the safety car! And days later we discover that its all change on the podium - no it isn't, yes it is, no it isn't, yes it is, no it isn't, yes it is.........
Rumour has it that the mysteriously secretive stewards envigilating over the rules this year are none other than Punch and Judy!
That makes sense! And explains a lot!

151. Breach of rules
Any of the following offences in addition to any offences specifically referred to previously, shall be deemed to be a breach of these rules :
c) Any fraudulent conduct or any act prejudicial to the interests of any competition or to the interests of motor sport generally.
What? That really makes sense!
Rumour also has it that the Common Purpose Communitarians have become involved in Formula One racing.
Is it just me or does Formula One seem to operate behind Chatham House Rules these days!?

"Lee", an F1 fan's comments include:
Lee says:
@Dragos,
It is quite clear that the stewards themselves are not necessarily involved in any decision making. I do indeed believe that the FIA are capable of lying and I do think that Alan Donnelly is capable of manipulating the Stewards (as in spa). I would like to know the exact questions asked and the exact answers given. After all we are all fully aware of how newspapers etc can twist words so why would Alan Donnelly be any different, especially as he runs a PR company!
I do not trust the FIA as far as I can throw them.
Lee says:
@Antifia
How in that case did non of the stewards get to interview the drivers after spa? The olny person to do any interviewing was Alan Donnelly who is not supposed to get involved. The stewards signed the statement even though they were not privy to the information involved.
Lee says:
@Kurtosis,
I think the problem is that the FIA are claiming to be more transparent but then release everything bar the most important bit of information. They have even released transcripts of Lewis’ comments to the media regardless of the fact that they do not prove anything that was said to the stewards. It just leads me to think that the missing evidence is not as damning as they would like it to be, or in fact again exposes the fact that Alan Donnelly is far more involved than he should be.
( Common Purpose - leading beyond authority eh!)
Alan Donnelly's Clients include Formula One Management and Ferrari. That makes sense! Not!

Common Purpose, The Hegelian Formula One Dialectic we now seem stuck with –
The race is the thesis, with all its craziness and unpredictability because its dangerous and everything happens so quickly.
The rules are the antithesis - representing the perfect hypothetical race that can never actually take place.
The synthesis is supplied by the stewards, who are directed to give an unsatisfactory decision that irritates all concerned, and benefits........?!!!!
Flormula 1, where the real champions are insulted and forced to grovel, and those blessed with less talent and ability are applauded and admired, WTF.
"..The world champion reckoned the situation he found himself in now was the worst he had faced in his career.
"I've never felt so bad," he said. "Try and put yourself in my position and understand that, like I said, I am not a liar. I have not gone through my life being a liar or dishonest. And so for people to say I am dishonest and for the world to think that....what can I say?..." Lewis Hamilton.
I AM REALLY PISSED OFF WITH THE WAY LEWIS HAMILTON IS, AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN, TREATED BY THE FORMULA ONE STEWARDS AND COMMON PURPOSE HIERARCHY IN THIS LOUSY "SPORT"!
