I have always admired Surreal Art and I greatly admire Hugues Gillet's paintings. I am finding his work, his dark dreams, highly pertinent at present.

The Second Coming, by W. B. Yeats.

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in the sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem
to be born?

Tough times are ahead apparently, not just in Britain either,

During the entire 10 years of Blair’s prime ministership Gordon Brown was the Chancellor of the Exchequer. Now that Brown has become Prime Minister he is being rightly being criticised for his past fiscal decisions, however it is too late to moan now. We shall reap what we have sown but how innocent is Tony Blair in all of this?
Under the 10 years with Blair as P.M. we have been led to believe a ridiculous fairytale endlessly repeated by our biased and deceitful Main-Stream-Media ( so determined were they that the public believe it that a play was composed to ram the message home to us) that ill-feeling developed between these two and that, for a considerable period of time- years actually, they hardly spoke to each other! As if! Unbelievable, but what a clever, convenient tactic it has proved to be.
It gives the totally preposterous impression that Brown was not directly linked to Blair's decision to go to war with Iraq, and that Brown, in turn, acted alone and P.M. Blair was entirely innocent in relation to decisions on Great Britain’s economy! Enabling each to be able to conveniently "just move on" from the other's flawed decisions and actions!
Yet, Le Bliar has just landed a lucrative job as an adviser with the huge Wall Street bank J. P. Morgan,
www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/politics/labour/1575247/Tony-Blair-to-earn-andpound2m-as-JP-Morgan-adviser.html

As a former Prime Minister of Great Britain his inside knowledge is likely to be invaluable. A reward for his past actions? But the British people were paying his wages, not corporations like J.P. Morgan, just as we paid the wages of P.M. John Major before him. Or did we?
Is being Prime Minister nowadays just to be a puppet pretending to serve the British people,or even being brainwashed into believing they really are, while in reality serving only the interests of the Elite?
Well," the proof of the pudding is in the eating." So did they put the British peoples' interests before their own? Has their behaviour been loyal? Or self-serving?
