Alastair Campbell: "I've been through a lot on this...I'm a bit upset"

Ex-Downing Street communications chief Alastair Campbell has emotionally denied Tony Blair misled MPs over the intelligence ahead of the Iraq war.

Mr Campbell had to take a moment to compose himself after being asked the question on the BBC's Andrew Marr Show.

He said the subject kept being brought up by those wanting to "settle scores".

Mr Campbell also said he did not think current Prime Minister Gordon Brown had intended to cry during an interview with Piers Morgan recorded for ITV.

It has been reported by the Mail on Sunday that the PM shed tears as he talked of the death of his daughter Jennifer, during an interview for Piers Morgan's Life Stories recorded on Saturday.

During his own emotionally charged interview on Sunday morning, Mr Campbell was asked by Andrew Marr about Tony Blair's assertion that he believed the case for Saddam Hussein having weapons of mass destruction was proved "beyond doubt" by the intelligence.

Mr Marr asked: "If beyond doubt is not established in the intelligence when this inquiry looks at the intelligence, does it then follow, yes or no, the prime minister misled Parliament?"

Mr Campbell, who has a new novel out, replied that Mr Blair "did not mislead Parliament" before being pressed again. He began to reply but paused, looking close to tears. (the crocodile variety!)

'Constant vilification'

He (Campbell) said: "I've been through a lot on this Andrew. And I've been through a lot of that inquiry... and... Tony Blair, I think, is a totally honourable man."

Mr Campbell said the media was obsessed with "settling your scores and setting your own agenda".

"You did it again this morning, which is probably why I'm a bit upset, this constant sort of vilification.

"You compared the novel to the dossier, and it's all fiction and all the rest of it. It's not. And I just think the way that this whole issue has developed now where I don't think people are interested in the truth anymore, Andrew."

He added: "I'm sorry if I do get upset about this but I was there alongside Tony, I know how that decision weighed on him, I know the care that we took."

Mr Campbell said he understood why people were "upset" about the decision to become involved in the conflict.

But, he added: "The reason people are going over it again and again and again is because those who do disagree with the judgment that Tony Blair made actually don't want to see the other side of the story."

'Many people upset' by Iraq

Shadow foreign secretary William Hague, speaking later on the Andrew Marr Show, said he was sorry that "Mr Campbell was upset" by the questions but "we are all upset by what happened in Iraq".

Mr Hague added: "I am very upset that it seems our soldiers were often sent into action without the necessary equipment because of poor political decision making, that there was no plan for the aftermath of the invasion of Iraq.

"We are all upset. I am upset about the fact that in a debate in which I supported Tony Blair at the time of the Iraq War, we were told that the intelligence was authoritative and extensive and beyond doubt, and it seems listening to the Chilcot Inquiry, that that was not the case.”

"I think many people are upset in different ways about it, and that must not stop us learning the lessons.”

Asked if he thought Tony Blair had misled Parliament, Mr Hague said: "I feel that increasingly in many aspects of the case Parliament was misled but I think to come to an overall judgement on that question we have to see the inquiry result as a whole - this inquiry has been set up after years of pressure from us and other opposition parties."

Later in his interview with Andrew Marr, Alastair Campbell was asked about the reports of Mr Brown's tears during the Piers Morgan interview set to be broadcast next weekend.

He said he advised Mr Brown ahead of the programme, which he hoped would help the PM reach a wider audience.

"The only communication that works now really is where people are being utterly authentic. The public, they hear all this stuff about spin, they know the media spin, the politicians do it and they can see when people are being authentic."

He added: "If Gordon just talks about some of these issues as he really feels then maybe the public will see a different side."

But Mr Campbell said he did not believe the prime minister, whose daughter died in 2002 10 days after being born prematurely, had gone on television "with the purpose of crying".

The PM's wife, Sarah Brown, posted a message on Twitter on Sunday to a member of the studio audience who had sent her a message hoping she was ok.

Mrs Brown said: "Thank you for coming to watch the interview too - it was a great audience, so warm."

Mr Campbell is widely believed to have described the Chancellor as "psychologically flawed" - a description which has dogged Mr Brown.

An Australian firm has signed a $60bn (AUS$69bn; £38bn) deal to supply coal to Chinese power stations.

Clive Palmer, chairman of the company, Resourcehouse, said it was Australia's "biggest ever export contract".

Under the deal, the firm will build a new mining complex to give China Power International Development (CPI) 30m tonnes of coal a year for 20 years.

Analysts say it is further evidence of China's strong demand for resources boosting Australia's economy.

Most of China's power stations rely on coal - and demand has risen sharply in recent months after a government stimulus programme re-energised its economy.

Knock-on effects

The plan involves building a huge new mining complex in the Australian state of Queensland, and laying 500km (311 miles) of railway line to move the coal to the coast.

Resourcehouse's executive director, Phil McNamara, said the "once-in-a-century project" would include open-cast and underground mines, with construction likely to begin later this year.

The complex in the Galilee basin, to be called China First, is expected to start coal production in 2013 and will churn out some 40 million tonnes a year.

Queensland state premier Anna Bligh anticipates the project will create tens of thousands of jobs and produce multi-million dollar royalty payments for the state government.

But the lucrative Sino-Australian deal will almost certainly disappoint some environmental groups, says the BBC's Phil Mercer in Sydney.

They believe Australia's reliance on plentiful reserves of coal, both for domestic electricity generation and for export, should be reduced in favour of renewable sources of energy.

Analysts say the deal signals a thaw between the two nations, following a string of incidents in 2009 that strained relations, from the arrest in Shanghai of an Australian mining executive from Rio Tinto to the high-profile visit to Australia of Uihgur activist leader Rebiya Kadeer.

An attempt by the state-owned resources company, Chinalco, to buy into the Anglo-Australia mining giant, Rio Tinto, also ended in acrimony.

(NaturalNews) When I saw The Lancet’s recent retraction of Dr. Wakefield’s famous paper linking vaccines to autism, I couldn’t help thinking back to 1989 when Fleischmann and Pons were widely attacked and discredit over their demonstration of cold fusion technology. These two brilliant physicists had accomplished the seemingly impossible: They had caused fusion to take place at low temperatures, producing both excess heat energy as well as the helium artifacts proving that low-energy nuclear reactions had taken place.

The conventional physics community went berserk. They attacked Fleischmann and Pons relentlessly, attempting to destroy their character and any scientific credibility they might have held. They paraded a gang of “hot fusion” scientists through the mainstream media, telling everyone it was “impossible” to create nuclear fusion at tabletop temperatures. Through a repetition of lies, they convinced the world that Fleischmann and Pons were frauds.

Hot fusion, you see, is big business. Big money. Billions of dollars have been thrown at hot fusion, and the careers and livelihoods of tens of thousands of people depend on it. By demonstrating that cold fusion really worked, Fleischmann and Pons were threatening an entire industry. That industry had no choice but to do everything possible to destroy the scientists. Truth be damned… this was all about politics and profits!

Fast forward 20 years and guess what? Cold fusion is being replicated in laboratories all around the world. Even the U.S. Navy is now deeply engaged in the research (http://www.naturalnews.com/025925_c…), and it is recreating cold fusion experiments on a routine basis.

Cold fusion, it turns out, is indeed quite real. Fleischmann and Pons were right. The conventional scientific community was wrong. And yet they got away with destroying the reputations of these scientists because the media bought their lies hook, line and sinker. To this day, supposed “intelligent” scientists and doctors still stupidly believe that cold fusion was a hoax.

Big Pharma destroys Dr. Wakefield

Today, the same tactics of disinformation and truth destruction are now being leveled against Dr. Wakefield, the courageous scientist who was the first to prove that vaccines were linked to autism. For the last twelve years, his research provided ammunition for opponents of mandatory vaccinations — people who were concerned about the safety of injecting synthetic chemicals and methyl mercury into the bodies of infants.

The truth was getting out and vaccine skeptics were winning the information war. The H1N1 vaccination campaign was a complete failure — 80% of Americans rejected the recent H1N1 vaccine, for example. Drug companies needed to shut down the opposition as quickly as possible and put a lid on any resistance to mass vaccinations. The whole future of profits for Big Pharma, after all, depends on the public accepting more and more vaccines for “preventive” medicine. This means you get vaccinated for all sorts of things that you don’t have and may never get. The vaccines are sold to people as a kind of chemical-based health insurance program.

To ensure the profitability of that future, Big Pharma needed to destroy Dr. Wakefield’s credibility. So they paraded a long list of pro-vaccine doctors and drug pushers in front of the media to accomplish essentially the same thing that was accomplished against Fleischmann and Pons in 1989 — the obliteration of their credibility in order to suppress the truth.

The truth is dangerous to Big Pharma

The truth is a dangerous thing. Especially when profits are at stake. The truth about vaccines would destroy an entire industry. That’s why the truth must not be allowed to appear in newspapers, magazines or medical journals. That’s why the truth is meticulously redacted from these publications and replaced by pro-pharma lies as a matter of course.

It all comes back to George Orwell’s 1984 novel, where the day job of the main character Winston Smith is to literally rewrite history by replacing offensive stories in news archives with a “rewritten history” that’s more acceptable to the politicians currently in charge.

The Lancet is doing exactly what George Orwell described in 1984 — rewriting history by obliterating scientific truth and removing it from their archives.

And this is just the beginning. Watch for more medical journals to retract scientific papers that oppose the Big Pharma agenda. Any “science” that doesn’t agree with the vaccine / pharmaceutical agenda will simply be purged from the archives of human knowledge, leaving only whatever fraudulent science supports Big Pharma’s dark agenda.

The very credibility of modern medical science is dissolving right before our eyes. When even the medical journals themselves are deeply engaged in the censorship of scientific knowledge and the promotion of a corporate agenda, you know there’s not much credibility left in the industry.

Statement from Dr. Len Horowitz

The editors of Medical Veritas journal (www.MedicalVeritas.org) have condemned The Lancet’s retraction (http://edition.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/…) of the controversial study by Dr. Andrew Wakefield, charging editor Richard Horton with pandering to special interests in a conspiracy to defraud the public about the risks of vaccinations.

In 1998, The Lancet published the contested study linking autism and intestinal problems to the risky MMR triple virus vaccine. Yesterday, following the British General Medical Council’s decision that Dr. Wakefield had been “dishonest,” The Lancet’s editor retracted the article saying the Council’s report made it “utterly clear, without any ambiguity at all, that the statements in the paper were utterly false.”

In a letter to the Los Angeles Times (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/boo…), Dr. Gilbert Ross, medical director of the pro-vaccine industry American Council on Science and Health, wrote, “The retraction . . . comes far too late. Even now, Horton fails to accept responsibility for the human toll he engendered by publishing the Wakefield ’study.’. . .”

“On the contrary,” wrote Dr. Leonard Horowitz, Editor-in-Chief of Medical Veritas. “Dr. Horton’s delay is best explained by his aversion to self incrimination and conspiring to cover-up iatrogenocide — the medical mass murder of innocent people for profit.”

The Winter, 2010 issue of Medical Veritas evidenced gross conflicting interests undermining the The Lancet’s integrity. Following the publication of Dr. Wakefield’s controversial study, Reed-Elsevier-ChoicePoint mergers occurred. The mega-company formed has nearly monopolized the medical scientific publishing industry. Previous to this, The Lancet editors protested the “damaging” of medicine and health science by pharmaceutical companies.

“Now it is obvious Dr. Horton’s company has been grossly contaminated by special interests as biased as Dr. Ross’s ‘PharmaCouncil’,” Dr. Horowitz said.

Reed-Elsevier-ChoicePoint, it turns out, is directed by Chief Executive Officer, Sir Crispin Davis, according to a Reuter’s News Service promotion for GlaxoSmithKline recently published (http://www.reuters.com/finance/stoc…). According to Forbes, Sir Davis was knighted by the Queen of England for his “service to the information industry.” (http://people.forbes.com/profile/cr…) He has served as a Non-Executive Independent Director of GlaxoSmithKline, PLC since 2003. Sir Davis spent his early career with Procter & Gamble.

Reuter’s News Service, key to the British “information industry,” is directed by Editor-in-Chief, Thomas H. Glocer, who serves on the Board of Directors of Merck & Co., which admittedly paid Reed-Elsevier to publish pseudo-scientific articles and fraudulent medical journals, including the Australasian Journal of Bone and Joint Medicine. According to court records, and the New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/14/b…), the Merck-sponsored publication for doctors in Australia came to light during litigation over Vioxx (http://naturalnews.com/vioxx.html) — a pain medication that caused, conservatively, more than 27,785 deaths according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The Lancet editor blamed the FDA (http://www.ahrp.org/infomail/04/10/…) for faulty oversight for the VIOXX killings, but failed to cite his own parent company’s complicity in the iatrogenocide. Dr. Horton wrote, “Without more vigilant drug regulation in the future, doctors will continue to be misled and patients’ lives will continue to be endangered. ”

So with zero confidence in The Lancet, Dr. Horton, those paying his salary, and those criticizing him for his actions, Medical Veritas editors are inviting Dr. Wakefield to re-publish his controversial paper in their next issue.

Outright slander against medical truth

“Many of our editors have experienced slander and demeaning remarks by mainstream healthcare authorities and the media, Dr. Gary S. Goldman, the Associate Editor of Medical Veritas, wrote to Dr. Wakefield. “Your numerous peer-reviewed journal articles testify to your valuable contribution to the medical and health fields, and your stand against the opponents to scientific reason and common sense is heroic.”

Medical Veritas, wherein Dr. Wakefield published a 2006 follow-up study to his 1998 report in The Lancet, is “one of the few remaining journals that places emphasis on the health interests of individuals rather than [the pursuit of] profits.”

Vaccinations linked to spontaneous abortions

“The current climate of vaccine science is very controversial,” said Eileen Dannemann. In recent months, the Director of the National Coalition of Organized Women (http://www.progressiveconvergence.com) collected and analyzed data of spontaneous abortions following injections of H1N1 vaccines into pregnant women.

“The information that people are given by vaccine authorities, and through the media,” Dannemann insists, “is inconsistent with the safety studies conducted that lack placebo controls and long-term surveillance of adverse reactions to these vaccinations.”

It appears that, based on readily verifiable science, the use of that form of glycine triggers an imbalance between the amino acid neurotransmitters responsible for the absorption rate of certain classes of cells throughout the body. An Ecumenical, Dominionist/Reconstructionist Manifesto Drafted by a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations Who Serves UNESCO

The Manhattan Declaration,drafted and signed in Oct/Nov 2009, is an Evangelical/Roman Catholic/Eastern Orthodox manifesto which represents another ecumenical (bridge-building) milestone toward the final goal of creating a one-world religion for the worship of Lucifer. The dialectical process had been utilized in achieving this ecumenical unity as diversity was able to set aside its theological differences and find common ground on three social issues: life, marriage, and liberty.

Dr. R. Albert Mohler, President of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, who was among the signers of this declaration, provides his reasons for doing so on his website:

"The Culture of Death looms over our civilization, threatening every human being and the very right of our fellow citizens to experience life and to be respected at every stage of development. The statement calls for all Christians to 'be united and untiring in our efforts to roll back the license to kill that began with the abandonment of the unborn to abortion.' But the issue of the sanctity of human life reaches far beyond abortion, to the threats of genocide, 'ethnic cleansing,' euthanasia, assisted suicide, and the destruction of human embryos for medical experimentation."

The United Nations and Eugenics

The early 20th century eugenics movement which desired the culling of those deemed unfit to live (social Darwinism) morphed into population control conducted by the UN and directed by the same elite families who directed the eugenics societies (click here to learn more). How can these Manhattan Declaration signers, therefore, oppose the depopulation agenda while they are leaders of UN-NGO's dedicated to the UN's agenda?

Today, the UN is active in worldwide population control-especially in poor and third world nations. Depopulation is accomplished through distribution of contraceptives, forced sterilizations, abortions, and as some believe, by other means such as AIDS and H1N1. The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) supports depopulation policies such as China's "one child policy":

"The United Nations Population Fund directly supports policies such as that of the 'one child policy' in Communist China which encapsulates coercive and enforced abortion. In 2002 Secretary of State Colin Powell stated in a letter to Congress:

"Regrettably, the People's Republic of China has in place a regime of severe penalties on women who have unapproved births. This regime plainly operates to coerce pregnant women to have abortions in order to avoid the penalties and therefore amounts to a ‘program of coercive abortion.’ Regardless of the modest size of UNFPA’s budget in China or any benefits its programs provide, UNFPA's support of, and involvement in, China's population-planning activities allows the Chinese government to implement more effectively its program of coercive abortion.”

"NEW YORK, February 10, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The Philippine Ambassador to the UN, Lauro Baja Jr., said the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has allotted the equivalent of US $26 million to fund 'reproductive health projects' in the Philippines through 2009. In UNspeak, 'reproductive health' is a standard euphemism for sterilization, artificial contraceptives and abortion. In many cases the euphemistic language popular with UN abortion-supporters is coupled with the jargon of the environmental movement that equates human population with environmental damage." 2.

International Planned Parenthood Federation is an NGO of the UN that has a similar depopulation agenda. "Margaret Sanger's Birth Control League reappeared as Planned Parenthood Federation, and eugenics as a whole emerged as population control." 3.

Manhattan Declaration's Dominionist/Recontructionist Agenda and Calvinism

The Manhattan Declaration appears to be the "reclaiming America" version of the Evangelicals & Catholics Together Document. The Manhattan Declaration is about reforming and rebuilding the culture; for it is stated within the section on marriage: "...if we are to begin the critically important process of reforming our laws and mores to rebuild such a culture..." Are Christians called to reform laws and rebuild culture? This is the agenda of the Dominionist/ Reconstructionist movement.

The Southern Baptist Convention has been transitioning to Calvinism for years and it appears that Dr. Al Mohler is a Calvinist and a Dominionist. Many other Calvinists are also on board with this Dominionist agenda as The Manhattan Declaration has several Calvinist signers: Joel Betz and Marvin Olasky (World Mag), Dr. Robert C Cannada, Jr. (Reformed Theological Seminary), Ligon Duncan (Pres. Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals), William Edgar (Westminster Theological Seminary), J.I. Packer (Regent College), Jerry Newcombe (Coral Ridge Ministries)...

Drafting Committee Members Affiliated with the UN and the CFR

Robert George

Three men are on the Drafting Committee of the Manhattan Declaration. Robert George, listed first, is a Roman Catholic married to a Jew and according to his profile on the Princeton University website, is not only dedicated to the UN agenda as he serves on UNESCO's World Commission on the Ethics of Scientific Knowledge and Technology, but he is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations:

The second man listed on the Manhattan Declaration Drafting Committee is Timothy George. He is the Founding Dean of Beeson Divinity School, which belongs to the Rockefeller-funded Association of Theological Schools (click here to learn more). He serves as executive editor for Christianity Today (Billy Graham). He has served the Southern Baptist Convention (UN-NGO). Timothy George has been the dean of Beeson Divinity School since its inception in 1988. As founding dean, George has been instrumental in shaping its character and mission. He teaches church history and doctrine. He serves as executive editor for Christianity Today, and on the editorial advisory boards of The Harvard Theological Review, Christian History and Books & Culture. He has served on the Board of Directors of Lifeway Christian Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention. George has written more than 20 books and regularly contributes to scholarly journals. His book Theology of the Reformers has been translated into several languages and is used as a textbook in many schools and seminaries. Robert George: The "Conservative-Christian" Big Thinker

Robert George is featured in a New York Times magazine article published 12/16/09 titled "The Conservative-Christian Big Thinker." Within this article, which is about Robert George and the Manhattan Declaration he drafted, numerous assertions are made that he is a conservative Christian. The article's second paragraph describes George as "this country's most influential conservative Christian thinker." From the same NY Times article:

"Karl Rove told me he considers George a rising star on the right... Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia told me he numbers George among the most-talked-about thinkers in conservative legal circles. And Newt Gingrich called him “an important and growing influence” on the conservative movement..." “If there really is a vast right-wing conspiracy,” the conservative Catholic journal Crisis concluded a few years ago, “its leaders probably meet in George’s kitchen.” "With the death of the Rev. Richard John Neuhaus, a Lutheran minister turned Roman Catholic priest who helped bring evangelicals and Catholics together into a political movement, George has assumed his mantle as the reigning brain of the Christian right."

From the same article: "Glenn Beck, the Fox News talker and a big George fan, likes to introduce him as 'one of the biggest brains in America,' or, on one broadcast, 'Superman of the Earth.'" Glenn Beck is a Mormon and is known as a conservative political commentator. Has he ever criticized Robert George's membership in the CFR? Probably not given that Beck works for Fox News which is owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation and according to membership lists, Rupert Murdoch is also a member of the CFR.

Since the UN and the CFR are fully dedicated to the creation of a one-world government (David Rockefeller is the Honorary Chairman of the CFR), and since both organizations are dedicated to the destruction of US sovereignty and biblical Christianity, why would the NY Times have us believe that a Roman Catholic who serves UNESCO and is a member of the CFR is a conservative Christian? Is it because those who control the NY Times want undiscerning Christians following the satanic agenda of the "conservative Christian" Manhattan Declaration drafters which will lead them into the one-world religion?

Since Robert George drafted the Manhattan Declaration, and since the Manhattan Declaration is being promoted in the media as a Christian manifesto, Christians would expect that the bible or that the acknowledgement of divine authority would provide the basis for Robert George's personal standards and beliefs; but this expectation would be very wrong as the NY Times article reveals:

"George is the leading voice for a group of Catholic scholars known as the new natural lawyers. He argues for the enforcement of a moral code [the Noahide Laws?] as strictly traditional as that of a religious fundamentalist. What makes his natural law 'new' is that it disavows dependence on divine revelation or biblical Scripture — or even history and anthropology. Instead, George rests his ethics on a foundation of 'practical reason': 'invoking no authority beyond the authority of reason itself,' as he put it in one essay."

On a final note, Robert George, who poses as a conservative Christian while serving UNESCO and the CFR's agenda, has found common ground with Dr. Al Mohler, who also poses as a conservative Christian and who also serves the UN agenda as a leader of two UN-NGO's. (It should be noted that Dr. Mohler's superior at The Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, Richard Land, is also a CFR member). Therefore, it shouldn't be surprising to learn that Robert George has lectured at Dr. Mohler's Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. 4.
