Recently European Comr. for Agriculture, Dacion Ciolos, has said, "any business that relies upon subsidies (grants, tax breaks) is NOT A REAL BUSINESS." (Oh dear, that's practically every Third Sector set up!)

Private Sector, To Cut Or Not To Cut, That Is The Question
Quangos serve a serious purpose.
Quangos and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) exist to suck up money unaccountably, and provide useless office jobs in order to massage the negative unemployment statistics for the Gov.
I firmly believe that it is the rise of the 3RD Sector organisations - the "charities, NGOs, quangos, foundations, trusts, etc. that are 100% behind the "cuts" we are now suffering, the 3rd sector "charities" can wangle non-profit status and have tax exemptions, plus they gobble up huge grants from the public purse, plus the Gov. often gives them public money too. So, these set-ups get public money both ways, from not paying up their dues like a proper business has to, and by getting huge freebies.
A double whammy!
Think about it, this is a massive sum of money, just the sort of sum that is needed for hospitals care homes, schools, disabled services, etc. etc. All the areas we are having to cut back on, now!
This is a scam, a fraud, is in place, moving services from the public sector to the 3rd sector (often to cronies of the Gov) so the public sector will eventually be erased and the "community sector" will replace it.
The public sector in Britain is now covered by the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (law since 2005) however, guess what?
The 3rd sector IS NOT!
Local Government is elected, but 'the community movement' is run by boards of appointed people.
This is how we are losing everything!
Slowly, gradually........Do you believe in coincidence in politics?
You are a fool if you do.
