WIND TURBINES in Lincolnshire - No thanks!

Lincolnshire's move is the first rebellion against the government’s renewable energy policy from Today's Sunday Times see press below my press release to local media issued last week.....

Dear All

I am representing many Action Groups & local residents across Lincolnshire, who are facing planning applications for large scale industrial wind turbines within or close by their tranquil small rural communities. All these applications if approved, either by the District Council's Planners or on appeal by the Government Inspector'swill redesignate OUR Lincolnshire Countryside into a Industrial Wind Turbine landscape.
Once this principle is achieved, there will be no stopping the developers, they will continue with their relentless drive with increased vigour for many many more inefficient heavily subsidised turbines as is happening throughout the UK..

The onshore turbines taken together with the huge array of offshore turbines on the eastern side of the Lincolnshire Wolds will dominate the landscape andwide open sky lines, local communities are in serious danger of having to live in amongst a vast Industrial wind turbine park........
The Lincolnshire Wolds AONB is in danger of being surrounded by dominating huge turbines...

The Environmental and Scrutiny Committee at Lincolnshire County Council have recognised this by their recent policy statement and in support of their stance the Croft Wind Farm Action Group (CWAG) sponsored trailer, will be on show outside The County Offices on Wed 06 June 9.00 am and then will be driven around the County,
calling at: Hemswell Cliff 11.00am, Tetney, North Somercotes 12.00pm, East Lindsey District Council Manby Park, Louth 2.00pm, Gt Carlton 3.00pm, Orby 4.00pm, Wainfleet Fen Bank 5.00pm and Croft 6.00pm.

All of these villages have planning applications in progress at various stages in the process.

Look North TV, BBC Radio and Lincs FM have all been in contact and will run coverage plus local press to cover photo shoots at key locations throughout the day.

I have continued with the Lincolnshire Campaign since my role as Chairman of The Baumber Wind Farm Action Group www.bwag.co.uk
established Feb 2008, we won on appeal Dec 2010 and guiding the group at Anderby which was also refused at appeal in 2011. If you need further information please call me on:

Please pass this on to all supporters and bring any banners or signs you may also have and confirm with me which location you would be able to be at and I will provide further details.
kind regards
