The Dalai Lama
The Dalai Lama, the spiritual and political leader of the Tibetan people, will turn 75 on 6 July. He has dedicated his life to trying to find a non-violent solution to the Tibet crisis. Tibetans in Tibet are denied the right to practice their Buddhist religion freely - even displaying a photograph of the Dalai Lama has been prohibited in parts of Tibet. He is a truly inspirational man and it is our collective responsibility to continue his lifelong mission to realise freedom in Tibet. Please mark this mile-stone birthday and stand up for the rights of Tibetans by wearing the Freedom T-shirt! |
