Over the Christmas holiday you may turn to the good old BBC for some entertainment and information – news etc. But the BBC has changed over the years hasn’t it?
I have investigated around the Baby P horrorshow and unearthed an interesting trail which demon strates how your TV Licence money is spent by the BBC. Come on a little walk with me, and think……

As you can see here Johnathan Heath, of Syntagm, trained Haringey Council managers (responsible for Baby P’s care – or lack of!) a few years ago.
Syntagm is run by Valerie Fawcett and Johnathan Heath. They have quite a client list! Look for yourself.
Syntagm is licenced by the Springboard Consultancy to teach its “Navigator” & “Springboard” courses.

However, this Syntagm survey is all about the Springboard Consultancy. How closely they work together!
Syntagm state, on page 10, that “Springboard” started in 1989 by the BBC.
And here you have the Springboard Consultancy promoting themselves online, also referring to their illustrious start at the BBC.
www.springboardconsultancy.com/aboutus.html (save this too)
Springboard also have quite a client list, don’t they?
Going back to the performance survey because it is interesting, notice that they like to compare themselves to Common Purpose ( see page 32 ). One of Springboard’s training programmes is also called “Navigator,” but is different from the Common Purpose “Navigator” –being for men only. “Springboard” is its female equivalent.
“….This echoes recent research conducted by the Common Purpose organisation in which 92% of Junior and Middle managers wished they had more support or training. And 87% of all managers wished they had more support and training when they face new challenges. 33% admitted that they felt like this on several occasions.
'These responses show that executives think employers should provide relevant training and support at every level. The priority should be given to those in junior to middle management who are likely to be feeling the highest level of fear in facing challenges. Empowering them will unleash their potential and prepare them for the tougher challenges that await them further on in their careers'. (Courage at Work, published by Common Purpose, March 2005)”
So what do we have here? Well these are what Brian Gerrish refers to as Common Purpose “clones.” You will not discover them by searching under “CP” or “Common Purpose,” you have to look under “leadership” “diversity” “empowerment” etc. How many other clones must there be out there about which most of the public so far know absolutely nothing?
This psycho-babble is everywhere – it’s frightening!
What exactly has been achieved by this training? That is the question!
Merry Christmas
